简洁性原则是SAT中使用非常广泛的原则。大致可以表现为以下几个方面：
1、 能用一个词或词组表达的绝对不要用两个词或从句和句子表达；2、 用because从句表达原因，而不是用名词+doing的结构，例如：I love Mary because she has helped me a lot. 而迷惑选项通常为 I love Mary due to the fact that she has helped me a lot . / I love Mary on account of her having helped me a lot.
