The term ”server” has been widely used and accepted in the context of LANs ,although it is an appropriate concept in any network environment .A server contains the hardware, and at least part of the software ,necessary to produce the service. Whether talking about print servers , file servers , communication servers ,or others ,servers usually operate at some point remote from the end-user and are designed for multi-user access to expensive ,complicated ,or infrequently used services.
